Carron Valley Reservoir, 4 miles long up the three quarters of a mile wide and a 1000 acres of fly only fishing on this highly rated water with wild and stocked brown trout and rainbows. Boat (20 traditional clinker built boats) and bank fishing over 4 miles of bank all at a very reasonable cost. North Third Fishery, situated just 5 minutes from Stirling this 140 acre fly only reservoir represents a real challenge. The records are impressive, brown trout 9lb 3oz and rainbow 19lb 13oz with a good population of wild brown trout averaging 10oz. There are 23 boats and a limit of 35 bank rods per session and the price is right, especially given the generous catch limit of 10 fish. There are day, evening, all day and parent and child tickets (child goes free) and float tube fishing is allowed at the price of a bank ticket. Millhall Reservoir 8 acres of fishing, boat and bank, parking for disabled persons near the boathouse. Stocked with rainbows and golden trout from 2lb to 15lb with many double figure fish taken each year. There is a resident population of brown trout.
