Gartmore Dam Sauchie near Alloa. Bank and boat fishing for brown trout and rainbows from 15th March to 28th of October. Permits £ 236 for the season, cost £9.10 per day for adults, with reductions for concessions and juniors. There are 9 boats and a wheelyboat, please call in advance of you want an outboard. Fishing is fly only from the boats but you can spin from the bank and use bait from the Dam wall. Fish average 1.5 to 2lbs with some very big fish being taken in August. Best flies are invicta, buzzers and Dawl Bach. Call the Gartmore Dam Country Park visitors centre on 01259 214319.
