Loch Morlich

at the foot of Cairngorm, is despite the tourism it attracts, is a stunning loch holding stocks of wild brown trout and some salmon. It also has some very scary pike, I often fear for the bathers in summer, if only they knew. Permits from Glenmore Lodge, call 01479 861256.
