Isle of Bute Loch Fad A beautiful fishery of 175 acres set in an area classified as an SSSI with a plantation of Douglas Firs dating date to the 1840’s. The loch is long and narrow with a maximum depth of 36 feet. There are 30 boats with 4 hp outboard motors. Fishing is fly only (except at the North End where bait and spinning is allowed from the bank). The best fishing is the south end of the loch. Stocked with rainbows from one and a quarter pounds to a whopping 18lbs. Day tickets £17 for 10 (£12 for 4 hours or 6 fish) fish is a fantastic offer when you see the quality of the stock, boats £12 week days and £14 weekends.
