Barlow Trout and Course Fishery, 4 miles from Chesterfield, is located just on the edge of the Peak District consists of 4 trout lakes and 4 coarse fishing lakes set in 50 acres. Permits cost £10 for trout for 6 hours or 2 fish and £5 for a full day course fishing. Hard paths and roads make access for good disabled anglers access. Callow Top have a lake stocked with rudd, roach, tench, perch and crucian carp. The lake is well stocked with mature fish and 100lb plus bags have been recorded. There are facilities suitable for parents with children and for people with disabilities. Day and week tickets available with reductions for under 16 year olds. Call 01335 344020

Bowden Hall Lake, Chapel en le Frith is a 1.5 acre pong holding skimmers, roach, rudd, perch tench and carp. Open all year Call 0161 225 9768 for day tickets

Higham Farmnear Clay Cross, Chesterfield consists of 4 lakes set in woodland, one lake holds specimen fish, carp to 30lb, big perch, tench and chub. Call 01773 602741

Holymoorside Dam a one acre mill pond holding stocks of bream roach, rudd, carp, tench, perch and gudgeon. Open all year, night fishing allowed and the venue is good for people with disabilities, can accomodate up to 25 anglers. Near Chesterfield, call 01246 208710

Press Manor Fishery Derbyshire is both a trout fishery and a coarse fishery. There is a 3 acre, 32 peg coarse lake containing bream, roach, tench, small carp and barbel. There ia also a carp lake which was closed in 2009 for restocking in 2010, I have no information on the restocked fishery at this time. Devon

Creedy Lakes, Crediton, two 18th century spring fed lakes holding quality carp, gold and green tench

Main Lake is a moderate to difficult venue holding bigger carp with a 31lb venue record and many fish in the 20's and tench to 7lb 8ozs Some large eels too

Top lake is easier fishing for smaller fish, some carp to 20lbs and gold and green tench open March to December, call 01363 772684

Dorset

River Frome free fishing for carp, pike, dace and grayling from Wareham down to the sea. Remember you still need a rod license

Hamworthy Lake near Poole owned by the Council who provide the fishing free of charge. Hold stocks of carp, some big ones, pike roach, and tench. Closed season applies and you must have your rod license

Durham
