The Grantown Association have the fishing rights for 12 miles double bank on the Dulnain from Dulnain Mouth at Ballintomb Farm to Sluggan. Ballintomb is a funny old place by the way, atmospheric. The clan Grant gathering ground was on the farm which was the location for the infamous Hanging Tree (gone now) where clan justice was administered. Add to this the Celtic standing stones and for those among us with a sensitivity for spooky places, night fishing is not recommended at Dulnain Mouth and Boat of Ballieforth (much as it is recommended for the fishing). The Association does not issue a Dulnain only permit so it is rarely fished by visitors, see the Association entry under the Spey for contact details.

Feshie

Three quarters of a mile upstream from the junction with the Spey, one of the key upper river tributaries of the Spey this river with exceptionally clear water can be very productive after a spate and in the late season. Permits from Alvie Estate call 01540  651255.
